You might recall from our post yesterday, we’d parked up in the incredible entrance to the pinnacles. Totally isolated and the only sound to be heard was the burbling River right next to us.
That was until we were lit up by the headlights of a second campervan and then the continuous opening and closing of doors, cupboards and toilet seat. Literally sounded like they were in our vehicle.
It wasn’t until the next morning we discovered why.. Of the whole carpark, here’s where they chose to stay

Greytown lunch stop and walk around town including a visit to Schoc Chocolates… Mmmm.. Left with some curry and poppadum and lime chilli dark chocolates. 😊 Only to help a small local business in these tough times of course!

A slight detour took us to Stonehenge Aotearoa outside of Carterton.

Haunted house on the hill above the stone henge
Having run out of friends who may let us wash our clothes at their place, we ventured out to a laundromat in Masterton and successfully completed the mission with no missing socks! And bonus laptop charging..

Hi Guys
Thanks for sharing your journey. I’m enjoying the stories and the pictures. Especially keen on Lord Of The Rings references. Who’d have thought Orcs and Trolls would wear undies!?
I’ve been using the like button to reassure you that your blogs are being read. But not sure if that’s working. Hence this email.

Hey Steve
Yep been getting your likes thanks.
Gotta say I was getting a bit worried that nobody was seeing them as I hadn’t had that feedback so was good to get.
